An Open letter from Todd Thomas:

Welcome to my website. I’m not sure what brought you here today, but whatever the reason I hope you leave with a bit of encouragement. Perhaps you stopped here to find out more about just who is this Todd Thomas character?

Well you might find out a little more about me, but I’d rather you leave here knowing Who this is really about and hopefully it’s a little more about you as well.

Did you happen to notice in the previous sentence that “Who” was capitalized? The reason is the Who that this is really all about is my Rock and my Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ.

On June 28, 1982 when I was 18 years old, I sat at the end of the runway of the airport in McAllen Texas watching planes take off and land with my friend Bill Stinson. I was very troubled about my life at the time.

The Lord was weighing on my heart how I had lived my life to that point and through some encouraging words he gave to my friend Bill, I repented from my sins, and as the song goes “and won the victory! Oh victory in Jesus! My Savior forever”.

I have fallen on my face, sinned against my Savior, backslidden into sinful ways and failed in so many ways to live up to His call my entire life. But the good news is…and this is my encouragement to you…

In Romans the 8th chapter beginning in verse 35 scripture says “Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 Just as it is written, ‘FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.’ 37

But in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who love us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, not things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Praise God for His love, and His grace, and His mercy on me a sinner. My encouragement to you is that is if God can have mercy on such a sinner as me, He can and will bestow His love and grace upon you as well.

All you need to do is believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. That he died, and was buried and was raised again on the third day according to the scriptures. He died for the sins of the world. He died for YOU.

Don’t fret over your past sins, who you’ve been, what you’ve done. The blood of Jesus covers them ALL and His righteousness is imputed to you so that when you stand before the judgement seat of Christ, He will see nothing but the blood He shed that covers your sins.

Trust in Him, for there is no other way. The best news of it all is that it is free! He paid your debt and mine and anyone else who accepts his free gift of salvation will be saved. It’s free to you and me, but believe me it wasn’t free. He paid the price. Praise Him!

I hope you find this encouraging that through the Lord Jesus Christ, you can be an overcomer. You can be more than a conqueror.

I’ve always loved and enjoyed encouraging people in their lives. I like encouraging and I like lifting people up. My sincere hope and prayer is that you have found this encouraging.

One day, you may be reading this and I have gone to be with the Lord. Do NOT be sad for me. Rejoice in the comforting thought that the faith God granted me in Christ has placed my eternal soul and being is His most wonderful place.

Until then, join me in what Paul claimed in Philippians 3:14, “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”.
